Marketing Back to the Future

Posted on 2:51 PM by buddyjones

Remember the movie Karate Kid, I can't remember which sequel it was, but anyway when the guy with the ponytail kept telling the kid to go and punch the board on the tree. No do it harder, and the poor kid was busting his knuckles till the blood was coming out. Do you remember how you felt when you saw the guy with the ponytail Laughing quietly. Well thats what has basically been happening to YOU!

You see, even though you read all of the hype or excuse me (copyrighting techniques) where you are subliminally being brainwashed by certain colors words and phrases to more or less Bilk you out of your life savings if they can accomplish it.

What you don't realize is that theres a way to use technology (SEO) and other Real World strategies to overcome the "Learning Curve". If you stick with me I'm going to give you the "Edge" you've been missing. Ever see a Labyrinth? Well once you go in its Hard to get out of. Thats how most of the marketing is designed. Then they have these "Clubs" where theres a Gazillion people in them lol, and everybody is pitching their pill, juice, 12x, travel, at you and you thought you were going to get some sales, sign-ups etc. Oh they promise you can get a 100,000 free leads (most email addresses don't even work). Man... Whew... its a cryin shame!

If you are anything like me, you've been searching and joining these different "promise programs" I call em, that promise riches, monthly income and a lot of hogwash. Meanwhile the perveyors of the programs are in Rio on the beach.

Listen Stick with Me and I'll show you whats really good going into 2010.
Okay Step:
1. Do a keyword search. Where? Alright go to google keyword tool external. Type in your keyword, do the capcha and then scroll down an you want to look at keyword phrases that have at least 5,000 searches per month in that particular niche ; some say at least 10,000 searches per month. Then you want to go to google, and put beginning parenthethis then your keyword or phrase and then put ending parenthethis.Hit return. This lets you know how many competing websites there are for that phrase. You don't want more than 10,000 competing websites. You might have to dig down in the Main Niche and find a subniche. If you make the same mistake I made and pick a niche that has over 2 million competing sites, depending on how much you know (SEO) etc, you probable won't MAKE A THIN DIME! Later on after you get some experience, and you get into the marketing to cell phone market you want at least 100,000 searches per month, worldwide.
Another good one is Microsoft Ad Lab. We'll cover that one in our next post so stay tuned. Oh heres something that might help you speed up the process.
Check it out here
